It is used both at the building and city scale, and it is argued that this concept has health, environmental, economic, and social benefits for cities. By incorporating nature into our built environments, we can reduce stress, improve productivity, and provide endless inspiration.
But why planters?
Traditionally, the streets would have trees growing from holes in the ground, but nowadays with the vast number of underground electrical cables and water/gas pipes, it is extremely difficult to find any part of a road where any digging is possible at all.
The planters can be custom made to any shape and size and they can be designed to fit in around existing street infrastructure. Custom Planters can accommodate large multi stem plants with colourful bases and it can also include seating into the design.
We work with over 150 Business Improvement Districts and local authorities to green up their town centres and research has shown they work, attracting up to 30% more footfall post implementation!

Available in multiple shapes and sizes, these planters can accommodate established tree’s up to a height of 4-5 meters and are perfect for urban areas.The planters feature integrated tree hooks to strap down larger trees for safety.
Sapele hardwood battens create a comfortable bench which can wrap around part or the entire planter.
The benches are removable for storage or removals and the planters have integrated risers designed in for moving with a telehandler or fork lift.
The planters are available in standard RAL colour powder coating or specialist metallic powder coating.

Our planters are supplied fully assembled and ready to install into the existing drainage system.
The planters are tanked with an internal drainage system fitted, including screened overflow and drainage pipe outlet ready to fit into the site drainage system.
These can also be supplied with a flow meter to measure sustainability targets.

Wood Planters
There are two types of wood planters: Hardwood and Softwood.
Available in different timber profiles with a range of stains or even painted, wood planters are a perfect way of greening any space.
All planters can come with a 300 dpm lining to protect the timber and can be bolted to pavement or concrete for security.
Optional upgrades include staining, painting, false bottoms, risers, reflectors, signage and much more.

Our living screen planters are available in many different species and it’s a fantastic way of creating outdoor dining spaces, partitioning areas, greening up building sites and much more.
These planters are available in both softwood and hardwood and have timber uprights to securely fasten the screens into place.
The galvanised steel base sets the foundations for a long lasting, heavy duty and durable planter. The planters can be built to any size but typically are supplied in 1.2m lengths.
