Meristem Design Awarded Contract to Provide Green Screens to Lambeth Council

Lambeth Council has always been one of the more innovative local authorities in combating air pollution for their residents. Their latest initiative involves selecting a number of schools in the most polluted areas of the borough in order to install our Green Screens to reduce air pollution by an average of 40%.

Meristem designed, supplied and installed a mint living wall for Soho Farmhouse for an event with Bacardi.

Soho Farmhouse is a member’s club in 100 acres of Oxfordshire countryside and part of the global private members club Soho House & Co.

This 5sqm wall surrounded the bar and included 12 varieties of mint that were used in the mojitos for a fantastic event in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.

Meristem install Pop-Up Parklets for Residents to try out in Hackney

Hackney council is offering residents the chance to design their own Parklets to replace parking spaces on their streets.

The trial was launched with two Parklets on show on Broadway Market, one of which was Meristem’s pop-up Parklet with trees.

The scheme supports the installation of 15 parklets across the London borough. The trials will run from one to six months, after which the council will decide whether to make the parklets permanent.

If your school is in a polluted area of London then you will be eligible to apply for grant funding to cover the cost of Green Screens from the Mayor’s office. We also supply custom made planters and automated irrigation system with on-going maintenance.
