Project overview
Meristem Design collaborated with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and Mobilane to deliver a temporary exhibition at the main entrance of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026. The installation involved a series of timber planters integrated with jasmine green screens to create a vibrant and welcoming entry space for visitors. Positioned at one of the show’s busiest access points, the project combined vertical greenery with colourful seasonal planting to enhance the visual appeal of the space. The jasmine screens were then relocated to Harrow Town Centre post-exhibition to ensure that the planting could continue contributing to greener, healthier public spaces.

Goal
The project aimed to create an attractive and memorable entrance experience for visitors arriving at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026. Through the use of planting, colour and strategic placement, the goal of the scheme was to soften the arrival space and enhance the venue’s horticultural identity. After the exhibition, we wanted to ensure the green screens were relocated to somewhere permanent to maximise their lifespan and avoid the waste that often comes with temporary exhibitions.
Scope
The project spanned the entry way to the exhibition, placed under the gazebo to separate queue lines and along the walk leading to up to the access point. 16 jasmine screens measuring 1.8m in height were used in the project and placed into timber planters. The planters also featured an array of colourful seasonal plants to enhance the look and feel of the entrance.

Solutions
The scheme used a combination of vertical greening and seasonal planting to enhance the visitor arrival and entry experience. The installation created a visual improvement while demonstrating the potential of planting solutions within a temporary event space. After the event, the jasmine screens were relocated permanently to Harrow to continue bringing benefits to the community and environment.
