Meristem Design are proud to be a key contributor to School Streets: 2025, hosted by Lambeth Council. This annual conference focuses on the growing movement of School Streets, which aim to improve air quality, encourage active travel, and provide safer environments for children and their families.

The day before the conference, we will be co-hosting an exclusive tour showcasing the borough-wide Lambeth Rain Gardens and the transformative Kennington Oval School Street scheme. Following this, we will be sponsoring a relaxed networking social at a local pub (location tbc) which attendees are welcome to join. Spaces for the tour are for local authorities and are limited, they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so secure your spot early!

Sharing insights

With over 180 School Streets funded through the Government’s Active Travel Fund and more on the horizon, research shows significant benefits: increased active travel, community support, and minimal disruption to local traffic. This event will present the latest evidence, insights, and practical advice for those embarking on their own School Street projects.

Our co-founder and Sales Director, Habib Khan will be joining the conference panel to discuss the importance of creating healthy neighbourhoods and incorporating nature-based design.
