In partnership with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, Meristem Design has delivered the largest and most innovative Mobility Hubs network in the UK, transforming how people move through Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
This October, we’re excited to be part of the Bristol Mobility Hub Event, a two-day programme highlighting innovation, collaboration, and best practice in sustainable transport infrastructure. We’ll be leading a guided tour on Day 1, followed by participation in a full-day conference hosted by Landor LINKS and Bristol City Council on Day 2.
Event Overview:
1 October 2025 - Guided Tour Meristem Design will lead a curated coach tour of key Mobility Hub sites across the Bristol region. Attendees will gain first-hand insights into the design and delivery of the hubs, with opportunities to speak directly with our co-founder Habib Khan and Head of Design, Alex Shipp.
2 October 2025 - Conference
Hosted by Bristol City Council, the second day brings together transport leaders, planners, and developers to explore the future of Mobility Hubs. Meristem’s co-founder, Habib Khan, will present on our approach to designing, building, and implementing these community-focused transport nodes across the region.
The Route
About the Tour:
The coach tour will visit five of our flagship sites, including:
- University of the West of England (UWE)
- Gainsborough Square
- Portway Park & Ride
- Church Road
- Abbey Wood
At each location, we’ll dive into key features such as green roofs, secure cycle storage, solar infrastructure, parklets, Wi-Fi, water fountains and placemaking strategies that support active and sustainable travel. The tour offers a unique opportunity to explore how these hubs were designed to reflect the needs of the local community and integrate into wider transport systems
