Project overview
A previously hard-landscaped terrace was revitalised into a vibrant outdoor garden through the introduction of a bespoke planting design. Working with existing planters, we introduced a seasonal planting scheme that softens the surrounding built environment while creating a greener, more welcoming outdoor space. The result is a terrace that evolves throughout the year, providing colour, texture and a greater sense of privacy.

Goal
The objective was to introduce greenery to an exposed terrace, creating a more attractive and comfortable environment for relaxing and spending time. By incorporating planting around the perimeter of the space, the design also set out to improve privacy without compromising openness.

Scope
The project involved designing a planting scheme to fit into the planters and creating an efficient ongoing maintenance programme. Seasonal planting updates ensure the garden continues to provide year-round colour, texture and interest while maintaining long-term health and appearance. Some plants used in the scheme include:
- Photinia Carre Rouge
- Agapanthus africanus
- Erigeron karvinskianus
- Knipholia Mango Popsede
