Waltham Forest Modal Filter Improvements
Creating greener, safer streets: Waltham Forest Modal Filter Improvements
We partnered with the Waltham Forest Council to deliver two phases of the Waltham Forest Modal Filter Improvements across residential streets, transforming areas previously dominated by traffic into greener, more welcoming public spaces. Installed at six locations throughout the borough, the schemes combined rain gardens, wildflower planting, street trees and habitat features to support traffic calming while enhancing biodiversity and the local streetscape.
As part of the project, we also engaged the local community through a nature workshop at Buxton School, helping young people learn about the benefits of urban greening and sustainable drainage.
