Project overview
Meristem Design worked with Croydon Council and FM Conway to deliver a series of public realm greening improvements along Dingwall Road, a key road in the borough. The project forms part of the council’s £40 million wider regeneration programme, including trees, wildflower areas and ornamental planting to create a greener and more welcoming streetscape. The scheme contributes to our ongoing partnership with Croydon Council to create cleaner, greener and more accessible streets in the town centre.

Goal
The objective was to enhance a popular route in the borough by introducing of planting and street trees. The scheme aimed to improve the appearance of the public realm while increasing biodiversity and creating a more attractive environment for visitors and commuters.

Scope
The project was delivered across three phases and included:
- Four new street trees
- 300m2 of wildflower turf
- Extensive ornamental planting featuring over 100 plants and 60 seasonal bulbs
