The aim was to create vibrant, low-maintenance focal planting that would add colour, texture and biodiversity to the public realm while complementing the bright character of the oil drums.

The project involved planting the drums with a varied selection of grasses and perennials, chosen to provide height and texture. Some of the drums also incorporate seating, allowing passers through to sto and sit among the planting.

We designed and installed a diverse planting scheme combining grasses and perennials to create structure, colour and visual interest within the oil drums and around the public space.

The refreshed planting adds biodiversity and greenery to a busy corner of the neighbourhood, helping to create a more welcoming and characterful space for residents, visitors and local business owners.
